The KEYTER Group Foundation promotes digital inclusion through the donation of IT equipment to educational centres and social organisations in Andalusia
The initiative will facilitate access to technological tools for students, older people, people with disabilities, minors in vulnerable situations and groups at risk of social exclusion.
The KEYTER Group Foundation, recently established with the aim of promoting training, social inclusion, sustainability, innovation and personal development, has launched a new charitable initiative based on the donation of laptops and technological devices to educational centres and social organisations in Andalusia.
This initiative aims to help reduce the digital divide and facilitate access to technological tools for groups that may face greater difficulties in accessing them, thereby strengthening opportunities for training, learning, communication and social integration.
The donations made by the KEYTER Group Foundation will benefit various organisations in the provinces of Córdoba and Seville that carry out essential work in areas such as education, disability support, care for older people, the integration of migrants and refugees, and support for minors in vulnerable situations.
Among the beneficiary centres is CEIP San Francisco in Las Navas del Selpillar, where the IT equipment will help strengthen the technological resources available to students.
The initiative will also reach the Virgen del Castillo Residential Care Centre for Older People in Carcabuey, promoting access for older people to digital tools that facilitate communication, entertainment and learning.
In the field of special education, the Foundation will collaborate with the Niño Jesús Special Education Centre in Cabra, a benchmark in specialised educational care, through the delivery of devices adapted to the needs of its students.
In addition, leading organisations in Lucena will receive technological equipment, including AMARA, an association dedicated to supporting people with autism spectrum disorders and their families; ANNES, the Association for Children with Special Needs; and AMFE, an organisation that works to promote the integration and improve the quality of life of people with physical disabilities.
This charitable initiative also includes Acuarela de Barrios, a non-profit organisation that promotes educational and social programmes for children and young people in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion, as well as Lucena Acoge, an organisation that carries out important work in supporting and integrating migrants and refugees.
Finally, the Foundation will collaborate with the Don Bosco Foundation, an organisation with extensive experience in the training and socio-occupational integration of young people and vulnerable groups, particularly through vocational training, employment, career guidance and social inclusion programmes.
Training, inclusion and opportunities
The KEYTER Group Foundation highlights that this action reflects the organisation’s commitment to creating opportunities through education and access to knowledge.
“Technology has value when it contributes to improving people’s lives. We want this equipment to continue being useful and to help students, families, older people and vulnerable groups access more opportunities for training, communication and social integration,” the Foundation states.
The organisation will continue to develop new initiatives in line with its foundational purposes, focused on promoting education, training, innovation, sustainability, culture, sport and social inclusion, contributing to the development of Andalusia and to people’s well-being.
